The text editor backend supports adding other .NET components in it, but it doesn't support storing them unfortunately. Also an issue would be how to set up properties of added components, although there are generic property editor controls that one could use (a bit low level for many users though) or create specific property editors for controls like Grid, Calendar etc.).
Would an alternative option be to have custom columns at the Captions component? Then one could hide timing etc. columns and keep only the custom ones. Custom columns would be defined giving their names at the backpanel of the component. Or do you need the table intermixed (flow) with other text in the Text component so that wouldn't be an option for you?
