Added zooming functionality to the ClipFlair Image component (still work in progress)

Not only can it zoom classic web images (JPEG, PNG), but it can also host DeepZoom tiled (.DZI) and sparse images / DeepZoom image collections (usually saved as .xml) files

http://studio.clipflair.net?image=http://samples.msdn.microsoft.com/Silverlight/SampleBrowser/ClientBin/Source/dzc_output.xml

http://studio.clipflair.net?image=http://openseadragon.github.io/example-images/pnp/pan/6a32000/6a32400/6a32487.dzi

http://studio.clipflair.net/?image=http://openseadragon.github.io/example-images/highsmith/highsmith.dzi

one can make DeepZoom (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645050%28VS.95%29.aspx) tiled images and DeepZoom image collections with various authoring tools, including DeepZoom Composer
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24819 (can read more about that tool at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd409068%28loband%29.aspx)

however, the easiest way is to use http://zoom.it service ( http://zoom.it/pages/create/) to make a DeepZoom image wrapper (hosted at that site) for any big image on the web (giving the original image URL). e.g. http://zoom.it/wR4i is a ClipFlair Poster (the respective DZI image is at http://cache.zoom.it/content/wR4i.dzi so internally ClipFlair's image component converts zoom.it URLs to get the real .DZI image and show it)

in ClipFlair Studio Image component you can now use:
ALT + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON CLICK to Zoom-in
ALT + RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON CLICK to Zoom-out
MOUSEWHEEL to ZOOM in/out
MOUSE DRAG to PAN arround the zoomed image
or use the Zoom-in / Zoom-out and Zoom-to-fit UI controls displayed over the image

Note that at all ClipFlair components you can use CTRL + LEFT/RIGHT
MOUSE BUTTON CLICK or CTRL + MOUSEWHEEL to zoom in/out their whole User
Interface (together with their content). If you do that over an empty
position of the activity container, it zooms in/out the whole view on
the activity (each activity is a virtual 5000x5000 space currently).

ClipFlair Activities also have a zoom-to-fit option turned on by
default (you can turn them over with the wrench button on the activity
titlebar to uncheck that option's checkbox) that tries to fit the
activity contents in the current activity window size.
