btw, a feature you may have not noticed is that you can drag-drop .txt and .docx files onto the text editor window and it will get their text (unformatted)
- I should probably also add import behaviour to CaptionsGrid when you drag-drop a .TTS or .SRT file on it
- speaking of that drag-drop of .clipflair.zip files onto components or onto the activity would be nice to make them load previously saved state of theirs
- drag-dropping a window's saved state file onto the container's empty area could even make a new instance of that window and initialize it with that state (that same functionality should also be available as a "Load child window" button at the backpanel of the activity container). With such functionality you would be able to quickly embed some saved activities inside a parent activity to group them together
dropping a .clipflair/.clipflair.zip template onto a component should load its state (so that would also work if a .clipflair saved activity is dropped onto the activity component [that is load that activity])
-(1) Can now drop .clipflair/.clipflair.zip files onto component windows to load their state from saved template, or to activity to load saved activity (or make new activity with single component if a component template is dropped on it).
-(2) If CTRL is held during activity state loading (caused by either a drop action or a Load/LoadFromURL dialog), then loaded state is inserted as child window (either as a nested activity or another child window loaded from a template).
-(3) Special case: If CTRL+SHIFT is held when loading saved activity, its child windows are inserted instead (don't use CTRL+SHIFT on activity component with saved templates of other components, since none of them currently contains childen windows so nothing will be inserted)
[3/3/2014 11:18:11 PM | Επεξεργασία από τον χρήστη 11:22:01 PM] George Birbilis: ...[(*) may enhance Text component in the future to host components inside the rich text, in that case it will contain children too in its saved state, so using CTRL+SHIFT with a saved template of it upon the Activity container would insert the Text template's saved children into the activity, without the Text component itself of course
that would be implemented the other way around too, as is done at the container, that is one could hold CTRL and CTRL+SHIFT when loading/droping a .clipflair/.clipflair.zip at the Text component to insert nested activities state as children of the Text component or to insert only children of a saved activity inside the text component]
Note that the Text component's text area was supporting for some time now also drop-in of .text (XAML snippet, the format the Text component saves by default), .txt (Unicode text) and .docx (Office OpenXML format, import without images etc.) and also plan to add RTF too in the future
Added file drop support into Captions/Revoicing component too, supports SRT/TTS/etc. files (same as its import captions dialog)
if .clipflair/.clipflair.zip is dropped on it, it is loaded as saved template (if it is saved state of Captions/Revoicing component that is)
now Clip component also support dropping local media files on it to open them (apart from dropping saved .clipflair component template on it as all components now support)
If you have a Mac, please test drag-drop and let me know if it works.
If it doesn't work, I've read about a workaround I can add for Safari browser on Mac. For Firefox on Mac in the past it wasn't possible to do any workaround to make it pass dropped files to Silverlight plugin. However, newer editions of the browsers may have fixed those issues, so I won't add any workaround code till somebody with MacOS-X provides feedback on this with details on OS and brower version
when dropping an SRT/TTS/FAB/ENC file in the activity it makes a Captions component but fails to load it (looking into it).
however if you drop the same file again NOW ONTO the newly created Captions component, it will load the captions
note: dropping caption files inside the activity works for some time now (makes new Captions components and loads the respective caption files you dropped to each one of them)
if you drop multiple captions files onto a single preexisting captions component it will merge all of those Captions files onto it
NOTE: if drag-drop of files into ClipFlair Studio doesn't work for you in Internet Explorer 11, then you have to disable "Protected mode" for the Internet zone.
Can access this setting from the menu (press ALT if the menu bar isn't visible), by going to Tools / Internet Options
At the dialog that opens open, select the Security tab, then the "Internet" zone
Then uncheck the "Use protected mode" option and press OK to close the dialog. Ignore any warning shown and restart Internet Explorer
After restart a warning is shown at the bottom, select the option there to not show this warning again.
Then try again opening ClipFlair Studio (http://studio.clipflair.net), create a New activity, then drop one or more selected JPEG or PNG image files from some folder or your desktop into the empty activity area of the Studio app (alternatively you could first add an Image window in Studio, then drop a single image file on it)
