Dear George,
Thanks for your reply.
I am testing Clipflair in a distance learning environment and I got this post from two students:
Student 1:
Clipflair crashing
Clipflair has started crashing all the time since start of Unit 3. It crashes for the silverlight plugin. This was while using Firefox. I tried it with Safari and that crashes and just shows up a white screen. Using a Mac. Anyone else having problems with this?
Student 2:
I could never open Unit 3 assignment this week. I hope I can get it open for next week so I can try to submit it! Did you get clipflair working after?? I'm using windows.
Student 1:
Hi Student 2,
I can open clipflair but it is really annoying now as I might get to play a little bit of the video and then it crashes or I might get as far as recording one line and then I have to save that straight away to file before it crashes and I lose it. So it is a very slow process. I am using Mac. Did you not get to open unit 3 clipflair to do the assignment??
George, I hope you can help solving these issues.
I had previously informed MAC users about the browser, this is what I told them:
COMPATIBLE BROWSER Compatible Browser for installing Silverlight in Mac are Safari and Firefox. Unfortunately Chrome is not supported. Please check System Requirements here: http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx
UPLOAD FILE TO CLIPFLAIR STUDIO As for the activity, Mac users please try to rename any .clipflair.zip files to .clipflair and then try to open it. For instance, rename Unit1-Lab.clipflair.zip Unit1-Lab.clipflair and try to open it. Please also save your ClipFlair activity as .clipflair (not .clipflair.zip) format when submitting your assignment (i.e., Unit1Week1Yourlastname.clipflair and Unit1Week2Yourlastname.clipflair).
Many thanks!
Jennifer
